Westborough, MA – Although the record-breaking Boston snowfall in January put a damper on many initiatives, including a planned National Mentoring Month event for nearly 80 Westborough High School students, the event prevailed with more excitement and pomp and circumstance on February 26, 2015.
WORCESTER _ On January 29, 2015, at a packed event with over 200 hundred regional business people, PENTA Communications, Inc. was honored with two Best of Business Awards. The long-standing integrated marketing firm was recognized with the Best Advertising Agency and the Best Web Design Firm Awards by the Worcester Business Journal (WBJ). This is the second consecutive year the Westborough-based firm was selected as the top Web Design Firm. Readers chose winners in 39 categories and received nearly 2,000 entries.
The Worcester Toys for Tots program was a great success in 2014, with more than 600 toys were distributed to individuals, churches and organizations who contacted the program looking for help during the holiday season. In addition, the program was contacted by a local shelter that had 28 children in need of winter clothing. All 28 received the needed clothing along with several toys for each child. Any leftover toys were donated to the Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester.
WESTBOROUGH _ Deborah Penta, CEO of PENTA Communications, Inc., was appointed to Governor Charlie Baker’s Transition Team.
To prepare for his transition, Governor Baker formed a team comprised of over 100 business and community leadership advisors targeting key areas that included State of the State, Human Resources, Better Government, Community, Schools, Healthcare, Jobs and the Economy.

Further muddying the waters is the communications approach the NFL took in handling the situation until a video of the incident surfaced on worldwide media.
