PENTA Legacy Fund Grant Supports In Your Shoes

WESTBOROUGH_ For the second consecutive year, the PENTA Legacy Fund made a grant through the Greater Worcester Community Foundation to support In Your Shoes,  a guiding circle nonprofit organization helping those in need in Westborough, Massachusetts.

The organization’s mission is to make a difference in the community by contributing the time, talents, and monetary resources to provide assistance and financial support to those in need. Its goals include educating and increasing awareness of local neighborhood needs, to promote volunteerism and effective philanthropy, and build a network that is a catalyst for change.

In Your Shoes hosts the Town of Westborough’s annual Fourth of July Block Party, the setup and donation for the Knights of Columbus Thanksgiving Dinner, Westborough Senior Center community dinners, and recently held a clothing drive, collecting all sizes of apparel from infant to adult. The organization’s Casino Night raised money to benefit Central Massachusetts and Westborough Veterans, and in the past, the nonprofit designed Veterans baskets for retired members of the armed forces who live throughout Westborough.

“We believe it is necessary to help members of our community through our continued commitment to human service support. In Your Shoes is a wonderful organization with a pulse on helping those in Westborough who need assistance, and we were proud to support them in their efforts again this year,” said Deborah Penta, CEO of PENTA Communications, Inc.

The PENTA Legacy Fund, which is a Donor Advised Fund of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation, was founded in 2016 by Deborah Penta.
