Worcester Chamber Releases Marketing Video Sponsored by PENTA
WESTBOROUGH_ The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce released its new travel and tourism video, sponsored by the renowned integrated full-service marketing firm, PENTA Communications, Inc. The digital video highlights Worcester’s recent and extensive economic development while illuminating its vast cultural, educational, transportation, tourism, and corporate growth sectors.
The video, which is available on multiple platforms including YouTube, Vimeo, and the Chamber website, welcomes visitors with a powerful showcase of Worcester, the second largest city in New England. With $2.6 billion in private and public investment, Worcester is poised to continue its transformation into a bustling urban hotspot for business, nightlife, tourism, education, and the arts.
A thriving downtown, its central location, diverse economy, and unique history are just some of the reasons why Worcester is considered the heart of the Commonwealth. The Worcester region is home to 12 renowned colleges and universities, with nearly 40,000 college students, creating a vast conduit of trained and skilled employees and a market for innovation.
Travel and tourism also continue to climb with a convention center, arena, and over 300,000 square feet of meeting space throughout the city, making it home to hundreds of tradeshows, performances, and competitions. In 2016, thousands of athletes competed in the USRowing Masters National Championships at Lake Quinsigamond, a major sporting event that drew scores of visitors to Central Massachusetts. An additional 380 hotel rooms will augment travel capacities even more and continue the surge of tourism to the area.
“As long time supporters of the Worcester Chamber, and as advocates for regional growth and economic development, we were proud to support the Chamber by sponsoring this video. We believe it will help share Worcester’s vibrant revitalization to organizations seeking to locate or relocate to the City, and to meeting planners and organizers interested in a destination for events and conferences,” said Deborah Penta, CEO of PENTA Communications, Inc. “Worcester has numerous assets and we were delighted to be part of this initiative that shines a light on them.”
“Videos are a great way to help people, especially those from outside of the area, to get a sense of Worcester’s look and feel. The Chamber is pleased to have members such as PENTA that support these efforts and make it possible to share a view of Worcester to people everywhere.” said Timothy P. Murray, President and CEO, Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“We hope that you will share the video with your friends, family, and colleagues. Worcester’s a great place to do business, and a great place to live and work and we have so much to offer. In under 2 minutes you’ll get a sense of the place, culture, amenities – but rest assured, there’s so much more you’ll want to see for yourself,”
