Marketing Firm Rallies For Over 200 Toys for Tots
Westborough, MA – For the second consecutive year, regional marketing firm PENTA Communications, Inc., rallied for donations for Toys for Tots and surpassed its goal today, by reaching over 200 donations to benefit local children in the Central Massachusetts community.
“The holidays bring out the giving spirit more than at any other time during the year,” said PENTA CEO, Deborah Penta, “Toys for Tots is a notable top-rated charity with less than 3% of their proceeds used on fundraising and overhead. It’s important to know that over 97% of all donations go to the organization’s mission of providing toys, books, and other gifts to less fortunate children.”
“We are so grateful to the many people and companies who helped us reach this year’s goal, including Roche Bros. Supermarkets, Dan’s Jeep, and The Highlands Gracious Retirement Living in Westborough, along with many of our employees and visitors from throughout the region, who contributed to our 2015 toy drive.”
Founded by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys from October through early December and distributes those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the communities in which the campaigns are conducted. The organization’s primary goal is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
With the objectives of helping less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas, and to uniting members of local communities for a common cause for three months out of the year, the campaign helps foster community spirit and reap positive results that offer hope for children.
“This region is filled with many wonderful people who are committed to helping others. It’s amazing to see the generosity of so many come together for something really great.” said Penta.
