PENTA Scholarship offered to College-bound Female Westborough High School students

WESTBOROUGH _ PENTA Communications, Inc., has announced that it is accepting applications for its annual Female Leadership Scholarship. College-bound female Westborough High School seniors are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.

PENTA developed this scholarship in order to help inspire female high school students who excel in their leadership roles in academia, as well as community service.

“Our children have the potential to become great future leaders. This scholarship recognizes an outstanding female student who has made a proven difference not only to benefit her own future, but to benefit others. It also recognizes our future female leaders who excel at both academics and extra-curricular activities,” Penta said.

Criteria for the $1,000 scholarship include submitting three letters of recommendation from a faculty member and other individuals, who can explain how the student has demonstrated leadership qualities/skills in her classroom, team, committee or place of employment. Applicants are encouraged to provide information on any charitable work they have done in the community during their high school years. Applicants are also required to write a 200-word essay that conveys why she feels she should receive the scholarship.

“We have had some truly amazing and inspirational scholarship winners who are certain to make a mark on the future of their generation,” Penta said. “I’m confident this year’s pool of applicants will be nothing short of exceptional.”

PENTA Communications, Inc. will be accepting applications for next year’s scholarship from January 2010 – April 2010. Applicants should mail their submissions to:
